	With the kind support oft he Czech Representative Office the Al Quds College of Music developed an educational program for children at the Ras Khamis Community Centre in Shuafat Refugee Camp. For two weeks professionals from the Czech Republic and Austria worked with the kids and developed a program of dance movements and musical arrangements performed on self made instruments. The final performances toke place at the Ras Khamis Community Centre in Shuafat Camp  and at Hind Al Husseini Theatre Hall in Jerusalem under the direction of composer Slavomir Horinka and the renown choreographer Rosita Steinhauser who also held several walzing sessions for the students at Hind Al Husseini College.

	On Wednesday, 18 June 2014, the Parliamentary State Secretary to the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Mr. Thomas Rachel, and a high ranking delegation of ministerial representatives and German cooperation partners paid a visit to Al-Quds University.
    

    
	 
    

    
	The visit took place following the first meeting of the steering committee appointed to implement the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Education, Science and Research between the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMBF) and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). He was received by the President of Al-Quds University, Dr. Sari Nusseibeh.
    

    
	 
    

    
	Mr. Rachel underlined the potential of scientific cooperation to promote mutual respect and political cooperation. He discussed the conditions for teaching and research under the current political situation with graduates from German universities, who are nowadays faculty members and active researchers at Al-Quds University. He was in particular interested to hear about the state of affairs regarding joint research projects with Israeli institutions.
    

    
	 
    

    
	The German alumni stressed their interest to intensify cooperation with German higher education and research institutions, which can be based on a successful history of joint projects since the mid nineties. 	Many important things can be done prior to exams, such as getting enough sleep, eating well, as well as good preparation for the exam itself.
    

    
	Tips during an exam?
    

    
	1. Make sure you read directions very carefully
    

    
	2. Keep yourself relaxed, don’t look around to see how others are doing, just focus on the exam.
    

    
	3. Arrive early, it will help you avoid unnecessary stress.
