A group of 12 MBA students from ISEG, Portugal visited the University of San Francisco to attend a five day USF Silicon Valley Immersion Program from February 9 - 13, 2015.
During their visit, the group gained unique insights about innovation and entrepreneurship through interactive lectures such as Venture Finance, Process Innovation, Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Evolution of Silicon Valley Innovation, etc. They had the opportunity to participate in various workshops like How to Build and Maintain an Effective Team, Design Thinker, etc. The group visited several companies in the Bay Area including IDEO, Keiretsu Forum, and Invention Hub / Not For Sale. They also attended a networking event with angel investors at Elevator Pitch Silicon Valley, Palo Alto.
ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management is organising the 2015 European Security Conference on the topic of "Security in the Internet of Things", which will take place on the 1st and 2nd of June 2015, at ISEG.
The Conference is the European extension of the Annual Security Conference which has been held in Las Vegas (USA) for over a decade, and it aims to attract a nice mix of participants from the academic world, government and industry.
