Information on implementation of the Youth Forum on


X CEI Youth Forum "Education and employment of young people - Challenges and Perspectives" was held in Budva, Hotel Queen of Montenegro, under the Montenegrin presidency of Central European Initiative (CEI). The forum was organized by the Directorate of Youth and Sport of Montenegro, with financial support from the Central European Initiative Secretariat.
The aim was to discuss challenges and opportunities for the successful transition of young people  from the education system to labor market. This forum served as an opportunity and a platform for exchange of best practices, and creation of joint conclusions and recommendations for decision makers and young people in the countries participating in the Forum.
Participants of the forum were representatives of respective ministries and youth organizations that work in the fields of employment and / or education in the 11 member countries of the Central European Initiative (Poland, Check Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Romania, Croatia, Belarus, and Montenegro).
The forum was opened by Biljana Mišović on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science and Tania Pibernik on behalf of Central European Initiative. Introductory speeches were delivered by Clive Rambold, Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, Alexander Avanessov, UN Resident Coordinator in Montenegro, and Vladimir Radovanić, Vice Minister, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.
After introductory speeches, work continued in working groups on the following topics:
1. Government support measures for youth employment (moderator Dženana Scekic, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare)
2. Harmonization of educational policies with the labor market developments (moderator Biljana Mišović, Ministry of Education and Science)
3. Prerequisites for successful entry of young people into the labor market (moderator Predrag Novakovic. Institute for Employment)
4. Educational mobility (moderator Tatjana Knezevic, University of Montenegro)
After working groups, the second day, participants had the opportunity to present examples of good practice in these areas, after which the conclusions and recommendations of working groups were presented and adopted. The forum was closed by Igor Milosevic on behalf of the National Youth Steering Committee of Montenegro, Tania Pibernik on behalf of Central European Initiative and Jelena Miljanic on behalf of  Directorate for Youth and Sports.
Directorate for youth and sports expresses special appreciation to participants of the event, whose involvement and expertise made substantial contribution to the quality of the event. Financial, advisory and cooperation support of Central European Initiative Secretariat made this event possible. Directorate of Youth and Sport expresses its appreciation to the University of Montenegro and the International Organization for Migration, which in addition to participation in the preparation and implementation of forum, financially supported the event. Support of the Municipality of Budva and the National Tourist Organization has also been of great importance, regarding the organization of cultural program. Appreciation also goes to the moderators and reporters of the working groups during the forum as well as to forum working group members who have contributed with their expertise to the preparation of the forum.
